After reading a few posts on roll hunting, I went to the bank and asked for some halves. I was only able to get 2 rolls in this whole town. I am not sure if I did good or not so good but I had one 1969 half dollar and that was it. You people have me intrigued but in this small Louisiana town I am not likely to find anymore. Gee thanks!!!! ;)

Welcome to the addiction! Have them order some boxes or bags for you. My bank forgot to order my $700 worth that should have come in yesterday. I'm now having withdrawals. >:(

Bags and boxes of what? I know that is a dumb question but I am still new and have tingly feelings with my first 2 rolls.

Bags or boxes of half dollars. Some banks have $500 boxes while others get $500 or $1000 bags of halves. Whatever they can get for you, have them order some. Then go through them for the silver and return the rest to a dump bank or casino. Most banks won't want to order halves for you and then take back the ones you don't want. You have to find a "dump" bank to take your rejects to. Some banks have free coin counters for this purpose while others will require that you reroll them.

Hey MM....welcome aboard. Glad you joined in. One silver from two rolls is very good.

What part of Louisiana are you from. Being from Louisiana myself, I may be able to tell you where NOT to go...lol.

I was up in that area a couple of weeks ago. Many CRH'ers in Monroe and W. Monroe. I saw alot of signs in the area. Alot of competition. I didn't accomplish much in either town.

I hit most of the banks from Minden to Monroe along I-20. There were a few banks in the smaller towns north of that area I wasn't able to get to because they closed early. I did hit 6 solid silver rolls in Rayville just east of Monroe. I didn't go any further east on 20 past Rayville. Bastrop, Farmerville, Marion & Homer had a few banks that had a few rolls here & there....you might want to check that out. I didn't go any farther west than Minden either. Time ran out on me.

Good luck MM....keep us posted on your results....with pictures if possible.... ;)
