Old Dudes' Home, You Name It, We Dug It...
I spent some time swingin' with some detectorist buds Sunday.
We hit up what is now a retirement home for the elderly and the adjacent property, now a funeral home.
Both are late 1800's buildings.
The first four holes I dug produced coins...
A Memorial, a Stinkin' Lincoln, a Penny and then an 1892 Barber Dime
Later in the day I dug a 1964 Rosie and a few Wheaties 1928, 1937 and 1952...
Then popped out this button that reads, something Orange London
Followed by an 1890 IH, a bit "barked up" but a clear date.
After that a lead seal with a "C" on it... This was the only one I dug but the other guys dug quite a few.
Then some Whatchamacallits were un-earthed...
Of course some clad found it's way under my coil as well, mostly 1960's...
Then lastly a large spherical lead ball... "chewed" on three sides, it has the diameter of a quarter... not really sure what it is. Sorry no pic... Some grape shot perhaps
My fellow hunters dug two Barber Dimes, a 1900 Barber Half, a 1927? Standing Liberty Quarter, an 1875 Seated Liberty Dime, a 1960 Rosie, a silver men's ring, numerous buttons, Wheaties and IH's.
They did have the benefit of hunting the site one more day then me... lucky guys
Thanx for lookin' boys and gurls!
