More recent things I found but haven't had time to post.
2 pieces of "Genuine Pewter" 003.jpg
Old fishing reel found near the pewter on the edge of a brook.001.jpg002.jpg
Found this home mead silver ring that was fashioned out of a 1942 US. Quarter. It had a little silver plate, although snapped off, I also found in the hole. It seems it had something attached to the prongs that were on it, maybe a stone or another coin, who knows.004.jpg005.jpg006.jpg
Found this button directly out a building I work in. Always threatened to work this little chunk of woods and finally did. I still can't figure out why it was where I found it.007.jpg008.jpg
Ahhh... my little crotal bell. Love this thing!009.jpg011.jpg
Found all with my Equinox 800, park 2 setting, 6" coil (love this coil!). Thanks for looking.

Congrats on the nice relics! :occasion14:

hey I loved it all, very cool

Very nice haul!!

Great finds, congratulations! That coin ring is the most unusual one I have seen. Based on the length of the remaining prong, I suppose a large stone was once mounted there. Sub 8-)

that looks like an old pencil sharpener
That never even crossed my mind when doing a little research. Underneath I can see there is a disk separating the unit in two with the handle shank running through. I thought this would allow for the use of two different lines, one at a time of course. Also, there is that little "lock" lever which would keep the handle from going the other direction, can't really see why that would matter on a pencil sharpener? I don't know, you could be right though. I can't find a definite picture anywhere showing it either way. Good call. Thanks!

Hi, nice finds. Congrats:icon_thumleft:

An excellent treasure hunt - love that button you pulled out. Congrats to ya mate! :skullflag: :occasion14:

Lots of cool history you found well done

Was just watching this about the history of a pencil pointer and BOOM.....their it was....

I would love to see what this is but all that shows up is a black blank screen. What is the title and site that you found "it" on? The reason I was thinking fishing reel was that it was on an adjoining brook that empties into a famous Atlantic salmon fishery about 100 yards away (not that they're here in the numbers of past). I imagine the salmon also came up the small brook back in the day. Thanks!

How big are those pieces of pewter? How old? Looks great but all the better if the photo has something for scale.
