In my limited research online, I cant find anything similar either. I have not found anything other than farmer/hunter dropped canslaw in this field that is much newer than the circa 1783 house nearby. There is a house across the street that is newer but I havn't found anything associated with it so I think its safe to assume the link is circa 1800 until anyone can tell me otherwise. Now what I want to know is why anyone would wear gold cufflinks while tending crops. LOL
Maybe the master of the estate took a spill from his horse during a fox hunt and lost the link :tongue3:

Thanks Art. Went back tonight to look for the other half but no luck. Did find a toasted early copper nearby so more evidence it is possibly early.
