I got out and hunted my old hammered high school for the 100th time today. I put in close to 6 hot sweaty hours and was able to pull a few keepers out. The large religious medallion is sterling, the smaller one looks like aluminum or pot metal. The old car medallion was kinda of a neat find, I'll have to find some info on the age. One lonesome wheat was the extent of coins other than a 1940 nickle. The best find for me was the button. It was 8" down and halfway under a large root, I got a funky reading on the Etrac because some iron was close by, I never expected a button to pop out. Overall a pretty good day from a school I've hunted on and off for the last 16 years.

Thanks LD, I'm not having much luck finding a date for the charm or info on the button.

That is a great seal button and there are many different kinds . I found one similar and mine dated 1906 - 1930 . Type in .....great seal button...... and then the writing on the back to find the info on it . It looks like a two piece button and in great shape with the shank still there and not bent .
