Old interesting watch fob

Dug this watch fob today and it is in very good condition. It says COOPER SHEEP DIPS on the front and WILLM COOPER AND NEPHEWS 177 Illinois st. Chicago. on the reverse. Made by S D CHILDS & CO CHICAGO. It looks silver plate. My Freind said it is from the 1880's. Anyone know the value or rarity? Thanks

How deep was it buried because it looks to be in extremely good condition

It was in sandy type soil. So the corrosion was very minimal.
