Holy Cow! what a morning digging it up I've had. Four old houses set up for disappearance to make room for expanding housing complex. My first LW half dollar! 1944P, nice condition too. 1863 One Penny from Great Britain? Who'd a thought that would be there? Very cool! 2 Wheaties 1935 & 1944D, 2 Canadian cents 1940 & 1960. One 1938 NYS dog tag, old silver spoon, a metal army dude, a Victorian looking ladies belt buckle I guess. 2 neat old toy cars. Finally a ring dated 1998 reads ?Xerox/Rochester Rhino's League Champions.

Absolutely loved this mornings fun time even though it was humid as heck and sweat all over my face. Boy did I get dirty too. Good thing for old trusty Levi's!

Hmm, why'd I get two pics up there of the same thing? Oh well...

Queen Victoria was only 2 inches deep, so was the walking half dollar. Both my 1st's. None of these were deep at all and the ground was very easy digging. I am surprised though that I didn't find more wheaties and such, but like Floater said, I'll be going back for more once they scrape it off for me so I'll gain a few more inches of depth. Can't wait!!!

Hey DiggenItUp, if your not getting dirty, your not having fun. Great finds. I still have not been able to find one of those standing Liberty halfs. They have got to be one of our prettiest coins. Can you post a picture of the victorina belt buckle. Would like to see it. Congrats...Lance

Those walking liberty's are the most beautiful coins the US has ever minted IMHO. I have only found 1 liberty quarter so far with no date. Nice find on that half ! Halves and dollars are few and far between. May never find another !
