We went to Carson City today. They were having their annual coin show at the Mint /Museum. Today was only one of 3 days a year that they run the original coin press (#1) and make souvenir coins. I watched them put threw brass planchet in and then press the coin that I bought for $5. If you are ever in CC you have to got visit the Mint. They had old dies they dug up which were Walking Liberty's.
Pics
1. The brass planchet they used for my coin. I’ll take a pic and post it tomorrow.

3. One of the old dies dug up on the grounds, a seated Liberty.
4. A sheet of 90% silver from the mint with the planchet’s cut out.
5. Coin press #1, the first and famous CC one that made all the silver dollars, and my new coin.
6. Mint Plaque.
7. The dies they dug up.
8. The coin I bought fresh minted.
9. Other side of above.
