Hunted the dreaded field this morning.
I call it that since the digging blows hard. It's full of fist sized rocks and not much loam.
I have found silver there in the past so said what the heck.
I wasn't on site for 10 minutes and found a 1939 Wheatie. I figured I was done since this site is
notoriously stingy.
Ten minutes later I got a shallow hit that rang in as a memorial cent, I dug it as always.
Out of the hole comes the 1898IH. It's the only IH I've found with any detail. :o
I thought to myself what a day. I filled the hole and rechecked it nothing. One foot away another
175 on the meter shallow, bam the 1868IH with detail. I almost fainted. You just don't find IH's
around here that have detail.
I recovered and started swing back to the car as I had to go to work. Ten feet later not only did I
get another IH but a fatty! I didn't even know they existed until I later searched on this site.
I was a mile high. Almost at the car and another hit down deep.
It was the key.
Man no silver, but it's got to be one of my best days ever.

Thanks for looking and good hunting to one and all; drinks are on me.

I like those injuns, they're always fun to dig. Fortunately, many of the areas I dig in Ohio are very kind to Injuns. I've dug some nice ones, including a spill with 3 fatties.

And so now, you've got to rename that field! :icon_pirat: Maybe... 'Indian field?' 'Fatty Field?' 'That's OK If It's Full of Rocks Field?' ;D

Awesome finds, Radar!
