I'm not trying to put anyones finds down or pick on anyone but it seems like lately I've been seeing as many geofacts as authentic artifacts on this forum. I don't post too often on here but thought you might like to see this Archaic knife made from burlington chert. This is a surface find fron a newly cleared field that had only been plowed two years. I found this broken in two pieces about 45 years ago and it does have a couple plow dings on it. It weighs just a tad under 16 ounces, and is 10 7/16 inches long by 3 inches wide. I posted two views of the flat side so you can see the very large percussion flakes. Several of them are almost 1 1/4 inches wide and run across the whole piece. There is one spot where the thickness is 5/8 of an inch but overall it is only 1/2 inch thick or less. This is a personal find from Central Illinois.
