Was it a overhang that pitched upwards possibly making the water cascade down it towards that back. Possibly being washed out from several thousands of years of drips? Just a thought. You have to see into all the clues. I have fields that have several occupation levels from paleo to woodland. I actually know what area will produce a paleo and so on.....

Now that I see your new pics I see I was right about the shelter. Odds are that knife. Was dropped out....literally. Dig on any run off outside of the cave as well. I found my first point at a cave run off.

Wow never thought about the drips ... That's interesting I'm pretty sure it's straight perpendicular with ground but I will check that out for sure

Looking at that tip again do me a favor get a pic of the big chip spot towards the tip of the possible dove. It looks like they may have reused it for a spokeshave. Need that pic though to tell.

It's not far fetched that they could be paleo ? There are 2 paleo sites within the county I've learned from research and alot of archaic and woodland sites as well

I found a broken biface knife in my ''brokes'' pile, that looks quite similar to yours. Hope you don't mind.
While reading your thread, It is difficult to age an artifact unless you can find a ''type'' point in the same contex.
