That is for sure a track link for a tank or some kind of tracked vehicle. I like your car, what is it? 2 Cycle or 4 Cycle motor, do you mix your oil and gas or not have to mix them? HH, Mike

im not sure, but i have info about some tank battle on this field in december 41

wow thats pretty cool! i haven't found anything like that yet! It would great in my collection.. im sure my wife would be thrilled if I bought it home, just like when I bring home my other "valuable" finds ;D

Glad to see you are using the detector. I miss your posts when we don't hear from you in a while. I have heard it is very difficult to own an auto in Russia. Do you share it with someone else or do you keep it just for you? How much does petrol cost in Russia? It has been inexpensive here until the last few years and now it is over $2.00 U.S. a gallon. Keep posting, I find your posts very interesting. Monty

Any chance on see a photo of the other side of the track link. It looks to me more like a half-track link than one from a tank.

How wide is it - this will help us track down what vehicle it could have been. Great find and a good mini-research project.

Yes it is possible, in both armies there was a set halftrack.Tomorrow I shall go to dig on this field more deeply and more widely:)
