Pecos river gold

Just bought some land close by the Pecos river..Has anyone ever found any color in it? Ive been told it holds water all year long.

LOL......well yes, but I was looking for some input from someone who lives in the area and might have done so already..but thanks for your advice..I plan on doing that soon.
