Took the family to pei and had a great time. Mostly was doing the family stuff but took the detector along just in case.
I stopped by a old mini park and got a hour or so in and managed some souvenirs to bring home. I got a 1857 pei token,1871 pei one cent,1859 Canada large cent, big Queen Elizabeth coronation medal and a silver 1940 dime. Wish I had more time there but I'll be back sometime again. All that open space, red soft dirt and no rocks had me spoiled. I wish I wasn't so rushed because I gave the 1871 Victoria a real nice nose shot with my shovel tip and that was the nicest condition coin. Thanks for looking! [emoji106]

That's a damned nice looking cent. It seems very exotic from where I am standing (sitting at my computer).

Detecting on PEI would be really cool. Excellent finds and congrats on what I'm sure was a good time!

Was trying to figure out what Pei is/was. Then saw the token and figured it out: Prince Edward Island.

NO ROCKS...ROCKS !!!

You got a very decent example of the one, and only 1871 PEI penny. Very worth the trip, besides the vaca stuff.

Thanks. Still hate nicking it. You ever hunt there before Rick?

Awesome finds, congratulations. You did better than I did. Just got back from Spencer's Island Nova Scotia. Found a half hour to detect and ended up with 4 Canadian pennies. Not complaining, but would have liked to hit something from the 1800s.

Most of your finds are simply awesome.

Thank you. I don't get out as much lately as I'd like but I go at it hard when I do. I'm dying for some really old silver. It's been awhile! [emoji106]
