got 4 boxes of the railsplitters today at the bank. P mint. kept 1 box and put the other 3 on feebay. will let you know if i get bids. started each box at 100.00 with free shipping. seems the average bid for a box is about 137.00

Yes, there are people that bid on these things... just do a completed search on the new pennies and it's just plain crazy. actually, look up anything dated 2009 and I think it's scary that some of these are bringing what they do. the new pennies when they came out were bringing $350 and up for a $25 box... I was never lucky enough to find any..lol..

Good luck with that. They are hard to find. Not every bank will get them. Our man was just lucky.

I've had good luck with one day auctions. The "buyers" don't bid til the last minute anyway and every day that passes the prices go lower.

The banks here (AZ) say they don't GET boxes with new coins. They may see a 2009 coin here or there in a roll when they open one, but they have never gotten pure new boxes. Because they all get their coins from some place that wraps and rolls them. Not from the mint or even the Fed direct. And they can not get them direct. SO seeing those boxes is so odd for anyone from anywhere like here. But congrats. It is a great find!

You might get little action till the last hour and than the last 5 minutes you will sometimes get a flurry if the bids are still on the low side.

Expect to get $135 to $180

I noticed you offered free shipping. I would not. You probably could still get 135 to 150 with a shipping charge of $13.80 Wich includes ins.
