Hey folks,

Here are what I have found from my past two hunting trips. I think the blackish, opaque base is a worn down Dalton. I found it in Austin in the same creek bed I found a few other Dalton points, although they were a different kind of chert. I also found a great little "river knife" and a fairly complete scraper.

I also found the most puzzling rock in some time. I thought it was a point, no idea what kind, but it has what appears to be a drilled hole?? I have neither seen nor heard of that before and do not understand its significance, if any.

I included two rocks that appear to have been worked but I have no idea as to their use?? As always, any help is greatly appreciated.

JMO the point with the hole is where a fossil fell out and the Dalton are you sure that's not a Lecroy style. You know your type for your area better than I and that is a nice knife blade. Great finds your in a good spot:icon_thumright:

Cool finds! I would agree with monsterrack about the hole and say fossil or could also be a crystal pocket that eroded away.

Looks like you had some good hunts. I would say Lecroy type on the bifurcated piece also. Nice finds.

Yeah looks like you have found the rite spot to be looking. I like the Tx style of the points they made and they have some great flint colors that patina very nicely with age. Good finds and looking forward on seeing some more. rock
