The life-size statue depicting a female pirate brandishing a flintlock pistol in her left hand and a large hook replacing her right hand stands in front of the Discount Furniture and Appliances store on Main Street in the borough’s business district.

The fake weapon isn’t the issue for the Rev. Edward B. Connolly, pastor of St. Joseph and St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic churches in the borough. What he does have a problem with is the statue’s attire. The blouse, tied in front, leaves little to the imagination above the waist; below it, low-riding, slacks do much the same.

Now if the statue was making love to a brass pole, I might side with the Good Rev...

I think I've seen a picture of her on here before... or somewhere??
She is dressed a little sexy, but it's a statue. *shrugs*
If it's that big of a deal, they could always just bring her inside the store...
