Strawberry Festival fairgrounds should be a good place to metal detect.

LOL! We'll soon be neighbors. From what I've seen of the Clearwater/ST Pete beach areas, the commute and parking will be my biggest enemy. There are a lot of competent MDers in the area as well. But I like to believe that it all boils down to luck and timing.

Going to miss that warmer water..... time for another wet suit. Got-er all cleaned out down there did ya Ron? CWB can be a bit pricy to park, there is that rare gun fight, and during the summer it can look like a detector convention some times.

With all that free parking at Clearwater beaches I shouldn't have a problem, and for land hunting . I have spot already pick out in Plant city , lots of silver coins and I had to get permission to hunt, which I have.

Lol... I don't know where your parking at... Might find free DOWN the beach north end streets... ONLY in winter... other than that you will be paying.

Beat me to it! I used to be stationed at MacDill. A lot of GIs lived in Plant City. Those festival grounds would surely produce!

I park at the pier and don't have to pay. I have a Handicap Permit.
