With all that free parking at Clearwater beaches I shouldn't have a problem, and for land hunting . I have spot already pick out in Plant city , lots of silver coins and I had to get permission to hunt, which I have.LOL! We'll soon be neighbors. From what I've seen of the Clearwater/ST Pete beach areas, the commute and parking will be my biggest enemy. There are a lot of competent MDers in the area as well. But I like to believe that it all boils down to luck and timing.

Strawberry Festival fairgrounds should be a good place to metal detect.
I park at the pier and don't have to pay. I have a Handicap Permit.Lol... I don't know where your parking at... Might find free DOWN the beach north end streets... ONLY in winter... other than that you will be paying.
