Did the round go all the way through?
You know there is a story that book could tell.
For me, please post all your WWII finds! We don't have WWII relics in America except museums.

Yes,indeed the bullet went all the way through. In my opinion it was a
.22 caliber bullet (french resistance or shooting target??) perhaps shot
from a civil pistol.
Anyway,the round seemed not to have hurt the soldier,because there
are no signs of old blood on it.
Normally these little books were carried in the jacket's pockets,but it
could have been in a bread bag attached to the soldier's belt.
I think the sniper missed his shot and the soldier was not hurt.
We will never know it for sure :-\
