Thanks tuberale, gathering of sand I get but the metal threw me, still learning and keep getting out there, gotta check out all strange rocks.

What's your question? This is a quartz conglomerate weathered smooth... Use a wet saw and cut it in half it you want...

Think that's what I should do, yeh you could be right I never thought of quartz but where does all the metal come from, I've found quite a few natural rocks that contain iron and I didn't think there was much natural iron on earthrocks and non are meteorites as of yet, so you explain quartz then you can explain the iron !!

It's not a quartz it's olivine. You can find it in basalt (with iron) or gabbro. All finds are from Earth

Hello art blade I thought olivine but who knows really but I do know its not sand, it was found about qtr mile inland from sea between dunes and golf course and considering it was near sea there is no rust and all metal is black untill filed and it file's up quite nice and I don't really want to cut it to be honest, picture before last has a dog hiding in a crystal can you see it, maybe the nahkla dog resting place ha ha kidding of course,I will have it looked at, they must hate me at the museum ha
