I use the box that it came in. It wont last for too many flights, but untill I get something better, it will do. Now days, with the baggage restrictions of just one free bag, I use the original box, then pack that into a duffle bag, with my clothes wrapped around it.

Does it need to go as a checked bag like other luggage? Can it be taken as a "carry-on"? Seems it would be much safer stored in a overhead compartment rather than tossed around by baggage handlers.
