I drove to Carlisle this morning, on a invite from my new Forum
found friend, Grease Monkey. He was gracious enough to invite
me to hunt with him at a couple of his hunting sites.

Here’s tabdog ready to go, in front of an old school house. You
may notice, I’ve got tha wrong coil.

I was ready for tha rice field already????

Only hunted for a few minutes before Grease Monkey said, “let’s
go find some mini balls”.

He didn’t get no argument from Tabdog

Well, I’ll tell ya. We weren’t there more than 15 minutes and,

After Grease Monkey gave me my camera back, I was trying to
turn it off and,

Oops!!!

You can see that I couldn’t get that poopy looking smile off my
face.

As it turns out tha 12”X 10” concentric coil on my Euro Sabre
was not doing well for me in tha rice field.

Although I did find a few deep targets, there was so much iron
trash that small targets were being masked.

After we ate come fish and Bar-B-Q, I started using my Vaquero
with tha 5.75” concentric coil.

Grease Monkey had been tearing me up with his new Garrett 250.

I started holding my own a little better after that, but I was tired.

Look what GM found!!!!!

He found a nice big musket ball also.

I’m so jealous!!!

Here’s Tabdogs’ lone button???

It didn’t take long after that to ware Tabdog’s behind out.

Here’s GM’s finds,

Hare’s Tabdog’s meager finds,

GM beat me on everything except mini balls and I found a pin
fire cartridge.

I think this is really neat. I have read about pin fire cartridges,
but this is tha first time I’ve seen one.

Here’s my mini balls. A few appear to have been chewed on.
one to the extreme.

Here is a whatzit.

It is lead and has writing and numbers on both sides. I can not
make out what it says. It is a bit bigger around than a 12 gauge
shotgun shell.

Here’s a few other things I found.

It was cool and windy. But tha sun came out.

I had a great time.

I want to thank Grease Monkey for showing that old

Arkie Hospitality.

Hope you enjoyed our Arkie Relic Hunt, 1-19-09.

Respectfully Submitted,

Tabdog
