Depends on the machine. My understanding is all Coinstar-branded machines reject silver, but this certainly isn't the case for all coin counters. If it were there wouldn't be people finding silver in the machine's bags.

Rejects can be anything with coin counters. For example Coinstar will reject coins at times that if you feed back in they will then not reject.

Coinstar rejects silver, other machines may or may not. The problem with Coinstar is that you either have to take a gift card for the amount, or let them take 9.8% of your dump.

Most machines will not reject silver. Coinstar (only the green Coinstar branded machines) will but I don't think many of the others will. I know for sure the ones around where I am don't because I buy bags and find silver in there along with foreign coins. Most machines I have delt with don't have a reject slot either.
