I've been wondering about services for cutting and polishing rocks. do they exist ? if so how much are people paying for this? I have access to lots of equipment and was wondering if theres a demand for the service. Im talking mostly flat or simple larger shapes, not detailed gemstone cutting

Contact any lapidary shop or gem and mineral club. They will let you know.

Time for more coffee.

I assume you're referring to cabochons? If so, the market is pretty limited. But if you're skilled at marketing, at least it'll be a hobby that pays for itself.
