Question on rock.

What type of rock is magnetic, smooth with a very shiny like vinyl light army green colored outside? It has circular rocks,some which have come out. Now having it for awhile it looks like the greenish tint is wearing off to a orange or rust color.the tarnish might be from sitting in the river for a long time.
So!
What do you think?
Copper,Bronze,platinum or gold ( If Platinum/gold is magnetic?)..Remenber it is magnetic.. maybe Meteorite?
Gold would be good!

as far as i know gold is not magnetic.
if the stone has rust,oxide should you be able to "remove it"(though scratching it)
non of metal you listed are magnetic.

you description sounds like malachite (but i think that that not magnetic either )

Platinum is not magnetic, it may be iron, lodestone
