I found this during a quick hunt the other day. It was not until today when I cleaned off the stuff I found that I realized what the design on the front was. Does anyone have an idea of age? It is a really cool button/cufflink!

The military button is one I found at another site that was being cleared for a new home. Not sure the age of this one though either.

And the last buckle was also found at the construction site. Again I am unsure of age. Any ideas?

Neat finds! The button apears to have indian symbols/graffics on it, can't say I've ever seen one before. The second button is cool and possibly from the CW period. The third one is also very interesting and I can't say I've ever found anything with a swasticka (sp) on it before!

My favorite is the button with the indian symbols on it.

I am pretty sure those are the symbols of the masons. I was thinking it was a masonic cufflink. I may be wrong... Hopefully one of the more experienced T-Netters will chime in with their thoughts. Thanks for the info Dolphin.

MinelabSwinger,
The button is a United States Infantry button from the 1820' thru the 1840's. The plate with the swastika is intriguing. Before the Nazis adopted it, that design was found in many cultures. For Buddists it represents peace. What size is it? Hard to tell because there is nothing in the pic to compare it to. Nice finds!

Nice finds all of them but the one button is interesting i also think masonic but not sure of that or the age but it looks to be mid to late 1800's

Awesome finds, but to me that one piece Infantry takes the cake! That is a beautiful button and I'd be all over that site if possible!!

The oval button has a Masonic emblem on it and the swastika is probably a native american emblem. Great finds.
