Supposed to rain today, here is what I woke to. Red in the morning, sailor take warning, red at night, sailors delight. We'll see, doesn't look all that promising when looking at the rest of the sky. I'd kind of like it to rain, there is a huge pile of brush I want to burn.

It rained enough by noon that everything was wet, and we lit the fire. The rain picked up around 2 or 3, but it was safe enough anyhow. I thought those pine branches would really take off and burn, with all the pitch and needles I figured for a super hot, fast fire, but that didn't happen. It was a real slow fire, but it did a good job an everything is burned up, but we had to keep feeding it to, putting stuff on top to dry out and catch fire.

We had a pile a bit larger than that when we left Arkansas, but was too dry to burn. Finally got some rain (when it wasn't "supposed" to) the day before we left, but that pile was gonna burn for days. Got someone else to do it for us. :icon_thumright:
