Several years ago when detecting I was wearing shorts and when I knelt down and put my knee on the ground it felt a bit hot but just thought it was the heat so dug a plug and retrieved the target but the heat didn't let up.

My leg was itchy as hell when I got home I spotted the bite marks must have been about 30 fire ant bites....lol.

Ever since even in hot weather I always wear jeans when detecting.
