Sounds right, I've been there many times to gaze upon it, the display you see is in a vault that looks like a mine shaft, also the gold rush museum that it's in has all kinds of cool California gold rush items. That specimen was found at Jamestown, Ca. Just down the road from where that nugget is at in The Ironstone Winery & Gold rush museum located in Murphys, Calaveras county, California, in the heart of the California Gold rush motherload. A must see if you are in the area.

Yep....Guess its somewhat under the radar. I would have missed it if not for the park rangers at my campsite. Told them I had a day to kill waiting for the state museum to open to see the Friggot nugget. They called it a must see which turned out to be true. I'll post the other two images later. They got some other sweet specimens to see.

Nice illustrations, huh?
Nope, I didn't do them, I'm not quite as good, where
it would take me a week to do something similar,
but of course, I was getting paid to do it, then....! :laughing7:

You would think other states would want to cash in on this as well.
The demand is obviously there.
crazy.
I saw on the news that home and rentals values have doubled there due to the shear number of people moving there as a direct result of this.

There are some States that see legalization as inevitable. Different reasons though. Some see imprisoning as immoral, some see the tax dollars, some are waiting to see if the sky will fall in Colorado.
So far nothing much has happened. I live next door and I don't hear much about it. I thought it would find a way to underage but research has shown the kids in Co aren't anymore greater to use than in other places. Also drugs go in and out of style. For some it's the idea of being an outlaw that's attractive so being available won't make one much of an outlaw.

I did think the USA would be the last to legalize. We have had a tradition of tolerating alcohol abuse but throw drug users in the can.
Zero tolerance.

I have no recollection of taken these. Maybe while in the woods I just shot some scenery.
