Ooops!

Knowing us guys... although it's a tough call, I'm betting that the driver was happier about his boat being undamaged than worried about his truck.

Wow I can see the guy hanging on for dear life in the driver side window. Imagine hanging there and the only thing holding you is your boat trailer and hitch !! Definitely an oh ship moment !! Oops is an understatement and probably refers to the warm stickey sensation that smells bad coming from his pants !!

When I am not out metal detecting, or thinking about Treasure, I like to build things. Just finished my new desk the other day.
Cost was $20 for some recycled pine and cedar, $36 for 4 sets of ball bearing 18" full length push to open drawer slides, and $10 for a quart of gloss lacquer.
I don't keep track of the cost of glue or screws though.
I made a second smaller top from the left overs for a small dresser That I will build sometime in the near future.
If I lived in Florida I would be competing with Blak Bart for some of that Cuban mahogany:occasion14:

Bonneville a bit back. As I recall the tractor ran close to 200 mph.
Is that 3.21 KPH? I have been around metrics for as long as the rest
of y'all but it's still a bit strange.

Yup AARC, it made it to the top. My first banner find !! Haven't been able to get back for any more because of weather and tides. Water has been dirty since the hurricane except for about 4-5 days. When Mother Nature allows I'm sure ill get some more. Every time I've been able to go I've gotten treasure from the galleons. I've got about 5 or six nice pieces and 1 cob. It's been exciting !! Got to bring it to the jeweler this week some time. Thank you for the compliments.

I love the design especially the shelves on the side, and the desk top. Nice work for little expense. That would look incredible in mahogany and cost a small fortune. I've still got about 6 months to go before my first slabs are cured enough to sell or work with. Just gonna keep cutting and stacking !! All my slabs are end grain waxed, stickerd, stacked, and banded for curing. Hope all this effort pays off one day in the future. Gonna wait 2 years on all this hurricane Irma wood before its ready for market. I'm at the ft. Lauderdale boat show right now trying to get some of the yacht builders interested in some mahogany. Very nice work clv, congrats !!
