RAREST AND OLDEST FIND FOUND YET!!! IN BACK YARD! LISCENSE PLATE!!!

WEnt out to my yard to dete3ct and found a liscense plate burried 1 foot deep!!! It is from Connecticut and it is dated 1916!!!!!!!!!!!!! I looked it up on ebay and others like this are selling for 50 to 75 dollars!!!!!!
If anyone has any other information on this plate # 25992 please tell me!!! Does anyone know its exact value??? My house is 100 years old but i never would have though...

Thanks everyone, considering its condition its actually worth about 50 dollars. Im not gonna sell it though, im going to hang it up. It beats my previouse oldest find by 4 years. (a 1920 wheat cent). And its my most valuable find yet, and by far the coolest.

how cool is that! :o here in Delaware old license plates are actually still usable and quite valueable. they are kind of a status symbol in a way. the lower the number the more they are worth. you can always tell the lawyers and the doctors by their black Delaware license plates! great find!

cool! I found what appears to be a license plate, but it is COVERED in rust....I don't think the paint is still there on it....It's just scrap metal now i think :-[

Cool. You should try scrubbing it with a hard brush, it really helps get iron off so you could at least read the date.

Wow great find! Plates that old are really hard to come by. And the condition! Very sweet for being buried! Good job.

MOST EXCELLENTE! That's in fantastic shape for being buried that long. Maybe it had a good coating of oil on it when lost. WTG!
