5.5 hours today, I found a really neat brooch, I think it is a cockade brooch from a tricorn hat or balmoral hat, it has an emerald,a citrine, and a saphire, it is very intricate and alot of stones are missing. next was an 1853 large cent, my best one yet,a pewter button,a .40 caliber musket ball, 3 brass fishing lures, the big one says 10,000 lakes st.paul, big doctor 285, 3.5 lbs of sinkers,a .38 caliber pistol bullet,a few propeller shards,an odd iron piece,1971,1972,1973 pennies. just a really great day.

That is a great day in my book . Fishing lures , weight, and very nice brooch. Those kind of days are much fun . a variety of finds . I remember giving my friend a coffee can full of weight . I use to fish until I found silver and gold . I must say I was close to being a fish Pirate. Gave it up 8 years ago and well still do not have the itch any more . Happy swinging Rob

I love perch fishing, and I dont mind digging lead. I can always find another use for it, bullets, divers weights, lead soldiers, or just make more sinkers. right now I am working on a motorsailor project so maybe ballast and trade items for later.
