Recent Finds (5/13 & 5/14)

I've been hunting my favorite field in WV the last couple days. Friday the 13th was a strange one, I was in the middle of the field hunting in light rain and a bolt of lightning hit the ridgeline about 300 yards away. After about an hour and a half I decided to call it a day after that. It was a good hunt though found a few early archaic points and a fluted / thinned knife or blade...I guess. Here's what I found on friday.

Today was even better and I got some in-situ pics because the rain finally held off for a few hours and I slow walked the other two acres I couldn't finish on friday. Highlights were a Stanly, archaic side notch, a big scraper w/ perforator, and a blade, or maybe it's a limace? I added a few pieces from fridays hunt to the last group pic. H.H.

WOW you had a great couple of days. I would have been thrilled to have found those. Looks like a great field to hunt, I can see a lot of flint laying on the ground.

Wow, that's a great haul for a couple of days. Some good points in there and good numbers.
