so i worked over my old 1887 maps last night, and found the hot spot at a old park that i have only been to one time last year with the 202. great day besides the digger cracked so bad i almost could not dig. re-welded and ready for tomorrow :thumbsup: bumped the thresh hold down to 10 and let er rip on the SAFARI today.. 1919s Wheat. 1890, 1895, 1909 Vs.. 1920, 1935s Buffs. 1900s Barber dime. silver Noah's Ark charm. and the 1000Th pulltab!! 14k two diamonds and what looks to be a blue topaz? gold ring!!! about time!!!!!!!!!! seems the colder it gets the hotter i get :laughing9: till tomorrow and best of digs to all!! MR TUFF

Sweet ring! Take it out to the sunlight and see if you get a star shape from the light. That will tell you if it's a saphire or not.

Noticed the chain bar (solid or plated ?) also the chain fob. Wonder if the rest of the chain is around there?
As you say, its the end of a fob watch chain, looks silver plated (quite often they are solid silver as you questioned) :icon_thumright: Good ID.
