HI all, well it was a cool and cloudy day, so I thought it would be a good
day to try and return a class ring that I found in a nearby lake this summer.

I drove about 45 min. from where I live to the High School that was on the ring.
Three very nice ladies done most of the leg work for me. One of them, new the
young lady whose ring I found. She traced her down to a local business in town.

I drove over to the Business and returned the ring to the young lady who
had lost her class ring 8 years ago, it was a 1998 gold class ring. She said she
didn't tell her mother about losing her ring for nearly 3 years. She said she was
going to call her right then and tell her someone found her ring. She said
that thought she would never see the ring again.

All she kept saying was I can't believe you found my ring and thank you, thank
you, thank you.

I am sending along a picture of me returning the ring to her.
I don't know about you but this really made my day!

HH all, Ringfinder

Way to go ringfinder. I have had the pleasure of returning 2 classrings recently. Found them both at the same location about two weeks apart. One of them was 1966, the other a 1975. Great to see people do the right thing when possible.

Friends, John

Ringfinder good karma is coming your way. Nice that you were able to find the ring's owner and return it to them. Kuddo's on the great publicity for our hobby. HH Ted

Great........... You will get rewarded somehow. I found two class rings last week and I was able to return them both. I ended up getting permission to detect their house which is early 1900's. He said he paid $533.00 for the ring,so it made him pretty happy. The other ring the owner had bought a replacement ring but was still pretty happy about getting it back,he said he was giving it to his fiance....
