Over the past few years I have found bits and pieces of shoe buckles, but just could not find a complete one until today. According to "Buckles through the ages" this one dates from 1772 to 1790's. It is made of brass and measures 2 3/4 inches by 1 1/2 inches. It sure made my day, week, month and season.....Lance
