Box of halves for the year # 282 (aka my bicentennial box), was easily 85-90% bicentennial halves; though no '76 proofs. Despite the odds, I was able to retrieve a 66 and a 77 proof from it.

Box # 283 (aka my '02 box) had thirty 2002 halves in it (20 "P"s and 10 "D"s). It also had a 60d, 66x2, 67x4, 68dx3, 69d, 04 and an 06p; for a box total of 43 keepers; or a 4.3% keeper rate !

Box # 284 had a good mix: 64p, 66, 67, 68dx3, 69dx2, 78 proof, 02d, 1913 Indian Rupee (silver) and an '82 Mexican ten peso coin.

Have a great weekend all.

Box of halves #288 was stingy; only giving up a 69d, 82 proof, 02px2 and an 03p.

Its "sister" box, #289, was a little kinder: 63d, 64p, 66, 67x3, 68dx2, 69dx2, 78 proof, 02p, 02d & an 03p. 14 keepers, 1.4% keeper rate !

Also, #289 produced a "professionally" engraved '71d: "Carmen y Rodolfo 16 Nov 75" Maybe a wedding keepsake; who knows. Too bad it got spent.
