Ring Found on Beach

I ound this ring a few years back when i was younger, without the aid of a detector. I was playing with one of those toy plastic swifters when next thing i knew i had found the ring. Im not sure if a ruby or garnet though.

Looks really nice! ;D ;D ;D If it has more true red/pink. (Maybe ruby) If red/brown/orange-ish.(Maybe garnet)
I think everyone, thinks its garnet because the pic is so dark. Well what ever it is you have a VERY nice looking ring! ;D ;D ;D
