I hit a roadside part this afternoon for a couple of hours and had some luck. The park had a ballfield, picnic area, and some play equipment. There several buildings but plenty of room to detect. The first couple signals were all garbage (mainly pop tops) and then I got a good signal at 5" that was promising. I dug and out came the 1894 Barber quarter, MY FIRST SILVER of 2010 !! Then I started working the bleacher area of the ball field and found the 1944 Merc at 4.5". The wheats were earlier dates (18 & 24) in the parking area. The weather was great and it was a good way to start off the year. Hope to hit the area a few more times. HH this year.
