I hit a roadside part this afternoon for a couple of hours and had some luck. The park had a ballfield, picnic area, and some play equipment. There several buildings but plenty of room to detect. The first couple signals were all garbage (mainly pop tops) and then I got a good signal at 5" that was promising. I dug and out came the 1894 Barber quarter, MY FIRST SILVER of 2010 :hello2:!! Then I started working the bleacher area of the ball field and found the 1944 Merc at 4.5". The wheats were earlier dates (18 & 24) in the parking area. The weather was great and it was a good way to start off the year. Hope to hit the area a few more times. HH this year. :icon_sunny:

Wow! Good to hear someone from Wisconsin is finding something. I get discouraged sometimes in a rural area, there have NEVER been many people at one time in much of Wisconsin, so those "5 silver dime lunch-time finds" reported in other parts of the country seem quite far away here. My enthusiasm is renewed!
