I started my roadtrip this morning at a local bank I rarely hit (many searchers around here) and I couldn't believe my eyes when the teller pulled a stack of dollar coins and three of them were silver or so I thought. I got out to the car and something about them just didn't look right. Well I put them in my bag and went about my roadtrip ( not very successful I might add, 1 x 64 and 6 x 40%). When I got home I examined the Ike's closely with a loupe and they were obvious fakes. All of them are 1971 S mint. On another note I went through six boxes Friday and found 1 Walker, 4 Bennie's, 9 x 64 and 80 40%'ers.

Ouch. Got to hate those modern fakes. At least you only paid $3 for them, not the silver value. Better luck next time.

Nice totals SCM......that is a load. Kudos on the Walker & Franklin's too.

I don't understand these fake Ikes. There are so many coins out there that would be much more lucrative...???

I am sure there is a reason for it but.....oh well.....

Again, nice haul SCM.....keep em coming.....
