Yesterday I was out of bed at 3:30am, and on the road by shortly after 4am.....I drove 2 hrs to Columbus to meet my buddy Kyle (Nooberz) and from there we drove another hour plus south to hit some old sites

We hit some fields and old houses, nothing newer than 1850. I was shocked we didn't get anything older, but I had a blast anyhow. We hunted over 8 hours and I was beat by days end!

I managed three indians, 1859 fatty, and two 1887's....got a silver quarter, bunch wheats, nice skeleton key. Small flat cuff button, flat pewter button and clad. Pretty decent day!

Sweet finds! Love finding Indians in the ground like that.

On an unrelated note, most people of Native descent find the word 'injun' to be highly offensive, pretty much on par with the "n word" in fact. My fiance and his family are 100% Native and explained this to me once when I was talking about a horse I used to ride who's name was Indian Creek Joe but went by Injun as a nickname :o They didn't really care about that, but I wouldn't recommend saying it in case you accidentaly offend a person of Native descent. Had to mention it, take what you will from it!

Nice tribe.

OH Indians hold up well. I am not far from you and almost all of ours is brittle and corroded.
