It is just like anywhere else when it comes to a hunt……… You need the owner’s permission and you better make sure you do not get on Federal property. No permit is offered. Federal land is not fenced, so you better make sure you know where you are at all times. Believe me, they know where you are. You better wait until the snakes go in for their winter rest.

Re: Roanoke Island...

Yo! Rebel here ;D mattthew05, go to "Looking for N.C. Researchers, ECU Students to be our people "on the ground" N.C. "thread"; had a LIVELY "chat" about Roanoke Island... you can do some "networking". "Ron & Ann" are great... "Charles, Oak Island, NC" is great... and "Treasure Detector" "posted" once... BTW TD, THAT is a MEAN-looking COPPERHEAD ya got there... I would most certainly wait until snakes are "underground"; I usually get out in the field in November, December, & January, when leaves are down... and you can see the "old roads", etc. ;) ;D
