Well managed to get out again with Hans R Dirty and hunthicks for another beautiful day of detecting. Tried a new spot that looked perfect but didn't produce anything then went to try to get permission for a new spot but the owner wasn't home. We then went to the back up fields that didn't disappoint...
There was a lot of swinging air time but I ended up with this Royal Artilliery button. Although not the best of shape, it is what it is... Also added a few musketballs for my 50lb goal, 2 - 1815 tokens, piece of an old musket and 1 button.... oh and a free decent pocket knife at 8 inches ???
thanks for looking....

Yup, it was still another good day, although the field with the artillery probably would have given up a few more goodies had we not had to move due to unforeseen circumstances  I thought the button had some more gilt when you pulled it but must have been the sun! Here's hoping the weather stays nice till at least Christmas eve :laughing9:

Was a good hunt collectively speaking. I put that token and 1837 large cent in peroxide. It completely cooked them. I can't see a damn thing on them now. :-\

Great finds! I love those Royal Regiment buttons. I found a whole set (4) over two years in a field.
