I watch t-hunting videos from Russia often on you tube.Lots of great history there. The WW2 battle fields are mind blowing.

War..Many deads...it is scarry. In our region there was no war. and it is good. I like finds of military years, but it isn't pleasant to dig them. Finds almost always near corpses.
Some hunters say that still find the remained bodies, especially in marshy areas where there was a war. In Russia there are a lot of marauders digging out burials and the law can't punish them strongly. Because of it any person with MD in Russia looks as the potential criminal. It casts a shadow on those who doesn't plan anything bad.

thanks, for interest to history of my country, if you have questions I`l can answer them

No, it is very difficult to find silicon artifacts in our region. It is great luck to find an arrow tip from flint. Unfortunately, in Russia these finds have no good price. It isn't enough collectors. Generally museums and scientists.

There now. In our region still there is a snow, but the season of excavation already began. Already there was the first departure this year and there were modest finds. This time only coins of 1930. 5 kopeks and 2 kopeks.
Я купил себе новый детектор.
Я не совсем понимаю что он делает)) По этому пройдёт некоторое время для его изучения.

Yesterday I went to test the new detector. On a search place there is a lot of metal garbage and signals was much. But it didn't prevent to make some good finds.
finds: the Russian coins of the early Soviet period, military button with number 22, medallion-icon with the image of the sacred, porcelain ceramics and buttons-decoration of a horse harness.

Button of soldier of Nizhny Novgorod 22nd infantry regiment (period 1912-1918)

the interesting find got. It is a silver slice - the cut-out center of a coin of fascist Germany. In Russia did of ring coins. Technology very simple: ring struck around, the herd was flattened out, the center of a coin cut out, and a ring processed a file and did a form of a wedding ring.

Excellent thread, gabberbob! I just found it today. It was started before I joined this forum. Finds from Russia always interest me because Russia is where my ancestors are from.

Long ago I didn't write at a forum. There is a lot of work, I work in civil engineering firm. But sometimes after work we leave near the city and we dig.
In our country there is a holiday on May 1 - a work holiday. And a holiday on May 9 - a Victory Day over Fascism and the end of war of 1945. During this period in the country some days are considered not as workers and the people don't work. These days pass memorable parades and remember victims in war. Many people go these days on dachas and country houses. We too went to a country house.
Except works on repair of the old house I came for excavation. In the village where I have a house, there are many sites of the private earth. For excavation it is necessary to agree with the owner of a site. But if to dig at night, it is possible not to agree. As he sleeps))
Red color noted the sites of the neighbors which have been passed on May 1-12. Blue points mean many finds.
