So after work my cousin and i decided to go detecting. He lives near an older area of Guilford CT. On the way to where he lives i tried to think of a spot i haven't detected new virgin ground. So i drive by this school it's not very old but again the area is old so who knows. We meet up and head down to the school. My first signal was a dime so luckly i took along my long handle digger because the ground was extremely hard to dig. I dig it up clad! I must have dug $3 in clad then i get a quarter signal it says 4" down funny thing is most of the clad i dug was about 3-4" down so im thinking this is going to be a clad day. I cut the plug and dig out a small pile of rocks. I grab my new Nokta pin pointer, it's out of the hole i move some of the dirt away and shining back at me is a 1941 S silver Washington Quarter! I call my cousin over he's shocked. Then about 20 min later i dig up at first looks like one of those gas station presidential coins. On the front is President Harrison. Jokingly i call my cousin over and say hey i got a real old coin with andrew jackson on it. At first it looked like Jackson. On closer inspection i turn it over and see the statue of liberty and $1 it's real i never knew they made a $1 Harrison coin! Over all preety good day!

Congratz on Silver!

They have been minting 4 presidential dollar coins a year since 2007. This happens to be the last year they are doing it with Ronald Reagan being the last coin.

Here is the schedule from the mint.

Nice, I've only managed one silver quarter in three years, they are scarce in my area. I've bagged one of those Harrisons myself, good job.

A decent tribute to Reagan! The mint should produce a gold coin if they haven't already. Reagan was the last "Coin Worthy" president we've seen!
