Well today is the day for me.. I am headed to hunt with the dealer i purchased my SE from back in August.. This is the first time I have been able to get out with him for a little training.. I am also getting my sunray probe.

If everything works out ill be bringing home the silver... lol

330 just got home.. too bad my son had school today and my wife was working or id still be out there..

Anyways went out with the owner of Big Valley Metal Detectors ( Sacramento CA ) today - Picked up my sunray probe, and went for a little training..

I have been doing ok with my SE, but it wasnt until today that i figured out what I have been missing.. There is a way to find thoose coins amongst all that trash...

We hunted for about 2 hours I came up with three silvers and 3 wheats.. All signals I would have otherwise walked right by..

I agree with go slow.. and if the numbers look good even a little dig..

I hope my finds keep improving, if my son can finish his homework soon we are headed back out there..

Re: SE Training scheduled this AM

training can always help, even an experienced user

for me, the SE was a little hard to get used to - especially after using a dfx for so long, but once you figure out the sounds, it's starts to click

the sunray probe is a MUST have, any detector i use from here out will always have the sunray

good luck
