Hey fishandhunt, Find old houses, then look behind them, old cellar holes, ditches,

outhouse holes, you may need a rake to scratch around with.

Sometimes electric lines ran alongside RR tracks, look along abandoned tracks, hope this helps you...............fossis

Howdy Fish....

While rafting down the Lehigh, I've noticed some of the telegraph/telephone poles still have the original insulators on them.

Hike the railroads with a small shovel. When you find a pole with missing or non matching insulators get to digging. There is a whole mess of them old abandonned power poles along the Hudson on the rr tracks between Poughkeepsie and NY.
