Second 1850's Silver in less then a week!

Wow I can not believe it. Last week I found the 1855 seated half and today I pull a 52 three cent piece in great shape. That's how I do it, "just like downtown". :laughing7: DSC01973.JPG DSC01974.JPG DSC01971.JPG DSC01978.JPG Notice error on the right side of coin. DSC01980.JPG

Wow that's one of the nicer ones I've seen. Great job

Nice find! Both are on my bucket list.
Congrats!

Nice trime there hard to find their so damn little. That's a great site

You're on fire! I remember that seated last week and now this?

Killer job!

Wow killer 3 center and that error makes it even cooler!

Nice!!

Wow, one on my bucket list no doubt. Have you looked up the error to see if it is listed ? Congrats

looks like it was dropped in 1853...awesome!!!

The 3 cent piece is as nice as any I have seen posted here. Congrats. You got some nice relics as well.

Area was a stop for stage coaches... Then during the 1870 a RR sprang up a few miles away and it all died... Research is Key.

Absolutely stunning 3 center..like the others said..probably the nicest I have ever seen posted on here!.. great find. I have what my neighbor calls an "old stage coach stop" near me, within walking distance, and I did dig my first big silver there, a 1922 Peace Dollar and some other relics. That was in mid-summer with tall grass and told myself to go back in the fall, and had actually forgotten about it until you mentioned stage coach stop. Thanks for the reminder! Hope to find some more stuff...ddf

Sweet silver dude what numbers did it hit and how deep was it I bet it was a weak signal sounds like a great spot keep at it

Very nice old silver. That Indian head looks like it will probably clean up nicely as well.

Wow man, that is an epic find! Congratulations!

You have a Type 1 trime, minted in Philadelphia and it is the largest mintage at 18.6 million. Can't find anything on the error though, you should really do your homework and let us know what you find out!

Common date but the "E" stamped on the extra blob of silver is interesting.

To be honest that must be my 50th IH for the year. It is a 1895. I am spoiled on good sites.

Great find, that error gave you some extra silver to boot!
If I found that one I'd have to send it in to NGC for grading, or maybe see what an expert would say about that cud. It only shows three errors on the NGC coin explorer for that year and they are double die errors. Makes your already great find that much better!

Great looking silver and with the error makes it even a nicer find. Liking the pressed piece of brass as well, looks like you came across a nice spot to detect.
