Hi guys,
Spent a couple of hours checking a cornfield next to a colonial field I had detected for a couple of years. Got a three wheaties, a '25 and two '27s and found this laying on top of the ground. 1915 no mint mark in G4 condition. Second lowest mintage of the Barber halfs. The Red Book says it's a $120 coin! Gotta get back there before the farmer discs it up.

GG....I agree on the cleaning, thought maybe a quick shot of electrolysis could blow off some of the black stain. I also use it also for about 3-5 seconds to loosen ground dirt so there is no friction from rubbing, it leaves the normal coin dirt in place .Drives me crazy when people rub and polish their coins. I saw a 16d merc on here once that was aggresively cleaned, what a shame. Again really great find, Burl
