Hi all. My second day of detecting and found a couple mildly intersting things. First thing I should mention is my ability to find Florida treasure without going to Florida! I suppose it's true a lot of Canadians go to Florida.... I found a rolled and stamped penny from Gatorland, Florida.

Then I think I got my first silver! I'm just learning but a 1966 Canadian dime is silver right? Are we talking 100% silver or just a mix of silver and other metals? here she be...

Last but not least I got the brother of this bright green pulltab. I'm not quite sure why but a few people mentioned it here ---> http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,156742.0.html and the next time out I got this one! A bright red pulltab ... LOL.. Complete set?

On another note I was actually appalled at the amount of various rusty jagged metal pieces to be found only an inch or two down in the sand at the tot-lot. Man, I got kids that age that run around and dig and all that..... The amount of rusty nails, shredded pop/beer cans etc etc was alarming. Then that got me thinking about needles.... not that I live in "that" part of town but still it can happen anywhere.... off to buy gloves. Anyway I kept all the crappy metal I found in my pouch and threw it all away in the garbage bin when I left.

Cya dudes!

That Gatorland penny is pretty cool. I remember not even two years ago when there were fires that destroyed a lot of Gatorland, but I think that they are back on their feet again.

Thanks guys! With 2 kids and opposite work schedule of the wife I haven't been out as much as I'd like with the new detector. Oh well, I'll keep at it !
